Advanced Energy Optimizes its Global Customer Outreach by Launching Website in Japanese Language

Tokyo, Japan, Dec. 3, 2001—Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: AEIS) today announced that it has launched a new Japanese language website to optimize accessibility for its customers in Japan. The new, user-friendly website will enable Japanese customers to easily access company and product information in their native language. While it was originally scheduled to go live early next year, Advanced Energy and Advanced Energy Japan, a subsidiary of the parent company, expedited their efforts to develop the website as an effective regional support tool to meet the growing customer needs. The Japanese language website is located on the World Wide Web at www.advanced-energy.co.jp and is cross-linked with Advanced Energy’s corporate website at www.advanced-energy.com.
