Advanced Energy names Fred Weaver Senior VP of Operations

Fort Collins, Colorado (August 31, 1999) – Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq NM: AEIS) has named Fred Weaver Senior Vice President of Operations. Mr. Weaver will have direct responsibility for all manufacturing, materials, and facilities functions in Fort Collins, Colorado, and Austin, Texas. In addition, he will have a corporate supervisory role for these operations in AE facilities worldwide. In announcing the new appointment, Hollis Caswell, AE’s President and COO, said, “Fred has proven himself to be a valuable member of our executive team. As Senior VP of Customer Satisfaction, he has demonstrated his ability to work effectively with customers, internal groups, and suppliers. We’re looking forward to the contributions Fred will make in his new role.” Mr. Weaver is replacing Eric Balzer who is retiring after a successful AE career.

 

Mr. Weaver joined AE in November of 1997 as the Assistant to the COO. He then moved to the head of AE’s Customer Satisfaction organization. Before joining AE, Mr. Weaver spent 20 years with Anheuser Busch Companies. His most recent assignment was Assistant Plant Manager/Senior Operations Manager at the Anheuser Busch plant in Fort Collins, Colorado.
